I cannot thank Marc enough for helping my business and myself. I knew absolutely nothing about internet search optimization. Before working with Marc, I didn’t even know my website was not being seen on Google.
Marc explained to me how important it was to have a non flash website and to use the power of blogging to increase new traffic. He was very patient and kind with me and all of my MANY questions. Marc created a new wordpress website design that I was excited about so now I have 200% more inquiries each week than before we started, and you can now easily find my site over my competition on Google!
I would recommend hiring Marc to everyone! He knows everything about SEO, and he is creative and fun to work with.
Thank you Marc for making MY dream into a reality.
Sincerely,
Sharon Cole

Dennis, thank you very much for sharing!!!! And I think your wife is special person, I appreciate it. It is a pleasure working with you.

I try to approach each site to not only be a technically excellent site, but to also just market/sell the site owner as well as I can: from search marketing optimization, to presenting what the site owner does and the unique service attributes they offer and the potential buying motivations of site visitors. This way not only is it a nice website, but it is a great business investment with real "dividends"

Where do I begin. I could write a book on how Impressed I am with Marc, but I'll try to keep it sweet and to the point. When I contacted Marc I was desperately looking for information on how to bring my website back into google search results. Marc answered my e-mail and proceeded to give me help and pointers over the phone. After so many phone calls I decided to hire Marc, and actually pay him for his time.

Our business was really hurting, and things were getting to be a bit scary. Marc completely redesigned our website using his skill in conjunction with Word Press, and <strong>in just a few weeks of the new website our business has increased to the point that we're getting overwhelmed with so many new clients.</strong>

Marc not only setup our new website, but he has coached us on what to do to get our website to be the optimized marketing tool that it has become. I'm so glad I sent that initial e-mail to Marc, and I will always be grateful at how hard he has worked for us.

Marc, I can't say THANK YOU near enough. The new site is amazing. I have seen an increase in both contact from brides and in traffic to the site. The site traffic is three times what it was before. My fall schedule is looking better and so is 2011. Thanks again for all the hard work you put in, it is so worth it.

The extra work the new web site brought in the first week it was up, more
than paid for Marc's fees. I understand it usually take a few weeks for new content to be found, but it seemed to happen a lot sooner than that for me.

He has been very helpful after the fact, giving me support that I would not get with a larger company. He called me Friday and wanted know if anything was going on that would cause my web site traffic to be down. I said, "Sure, the rain and cooler temperatures from hurricane Alex, has everyone slowed down." It is nice to know that he is keeping an eye on things.

Hi Marc-

I have a quick question. Where do you place the code in Step 6 in Blogger?

I entered the code. However, when I click on an old blog post it says that the post is not found.

Thanks in advance!

Oh, I'm excited about a lot of these!

Just curious, Do you use Wordpress DB Backup and have you ever restored from it? My sister is helping me with my site and is very focused on the backing up portion of the process. So far, she's had some problems when she's tried restoring from backups.

Because even if it saves the backups just fine, the one and only test is how well you can recover from them.

Thank you so very much for this info! I have been collecting links for how to do this for the last year and frankly, the process scares me to death. I think I know just enough (about coding and whatnot) to be really dangerous. This is the best post I've found with all of it together. I've already tried your suggestions for redirecting feedburner on a test site and it worked! I was giddy when I saw the new posts show up on the feed. (had tried it several times before and just couldn't figure it out)

My blogger site has decent google page rank (top of page 1 for some searches) and a moderate rss following (over 600) and I did not want to lose either of those, so I've been in a state of inertia, that this post is slowly helping overcome. ;)

I have questions, though. I assume that doing it this way, specifically Step 6, transfers the Google rank to the new site. How long does that take to happen? Will my blogger traffic drop as Wordpress increases? And will it eventually transfer all of it's good juju over to Wordpress?

Basically, every other thing I've read suggests doing a 301 redirect to make sure that Google can transfer rank. Is this a 301? If not, does it work just as well?

I'll definitely be poking around your site for more tips on how to spiffy up my new site ( http://wisdomofthemoon.com/blog/ ). And, yes, Wordpress is soooo much better.

This is a feature that I asked Mark about. It was a breeze to ad and I am easily learning many of the other features of the template that he promotes. I appreciate the updates of new features that I can ad ON MY OWN any time using WP as my web site and blog.

One of my favorite things that we have set up is that when ever I post sample images from a new portrait session the blog automatically tweets the post and sends it to my NOTES page on facebook and to my wall on my personal and fan page.

Thanks Mark.

I love having many of these features added easily to my WP blog and web site. I remember the days when I had to call my web designer and request he add something. Now I am in control of added content easily, adding features as I find them and making adjustments in a matter of minutes as I change my mind on how I want something to work.

So i'm going to finally start my transfer today... even though I was suppose to almost a month ago, lol.

I was reading back over your instructions and you sort of word it for those who still have domains in blogspot, like "yourname.blogspot.com"....i however recently changed mine to "yourname.com"... will this effect me in any kind of way... are there any different steps I should take?
